Matchweek 7 of the Azerbaijan First League has concluded.
Fanat.az reports that four matches were played today as part of the round.
The standout fixture saw title contenders “Sabail” and “Ganjabasar” go head-to-head. The keenly contested encounter in Masazir ended in a draw.
The “Baku Sporting” - “Khankendi” and “Zaqatala” - MOIK matches also ended in draws.
“Karvan-Yevlakh”, meanwhile, beat “Shimal” by a convincing margin. The Yevlakh side were therefore the day's only winners.
The round was due to begin yesterday, but the “Mingachevir” - “Shahdag Qusar” match did not take place. The “Electricians” refused to play their home fixture because of financial problems. “Shahdag Qusar” are expected to be awarded a walkover win.
