Ten rounds of the Misli Premier League have been completed. 17 referees have officiated in the 58 matches played (the “Sabah” - “Sumgayit” and “Qarabag” - “Kapaz” fixtures were postponed).
Fanat.az calculates that Elchin Masiyev, Tural Gurbanov, Ravan Hamzazada, Kamranbay Rahimov, Elvin Bayramov and Nicat Ismayilli officiated in the latest round.
This week, Ravan and Tural each received their fifth appointment of the season, meaning they have officiated in half of the 10 rounds and now share the lead for appointments. The number of referees with four matches to their name has risen to seven.
No players were shown a red card in the latest round. Six players have been sent off this season.
Referees issued 26 yellow cards in the latest round. The figure was 24 in round 1, 17 in each of rounds 2 and 3, 33 in round 4, 16 in round 5, 27 in round 6, 23 in round 7, 26 in round 8 and 28 in round 9. In addition, one player was sent off in round 1, two in round 3, one in round 6, one in round 8 and one in round 9.
Of the 26 cards shown in round 10, 13 went to home players and the other half to away players. The corresponding figures across the first 10 rounds are: 110 yellows (2 reds) - 127 yellows (4 reds).
The yellow-card total has therefore reached 237 after 10 rounds, bringing the overall number of cards to 243. That equates to an average of 24.3 cards per round and approximately 4.2 per match.
FIFA referee Kamal Umudlu has reached for his pocket more often than anyone else over the 10 rounds. He has issued 24 cards, two of them red. He is followed by Kamranbay Rahimov, who has shown 21 cards.
