Misli Premier League leaders Neftchi have scored 25 goals in their 10 matches.
Fanat.az reports that this scoring tally is a twenty-first-century record for the “Black and Whites”.
The last time the Baku club scored at least 25 goals in their opening 10 league matches of a season was in 2000.
The capital club scored 28 goals at the same stage of the 2000/01 season. Neftchi have now recorded their best tally in the past 25 seasons, having failed to average 2.50 goals per game in their opening 10 matches in any of the previous 24 campaigns.
Neftchi also hold the all-time record in the league, which has been contested since 1992. The Baku side scored 42 goals in their opening 10 games of the 1996/97 season.
